Some exciting changes will be taking place in early November at Georges River 16Ft Sailing Club as we continue to enhance and renovate our beautiful waterfront club.
Firstly, the gaming area will move to the Tom Donaghy Lounge. The current gaming area and Tom Donaghy Lounge will close from 3 November for the necessary renovations. Our outdoor gaming terrace will still be available during this time and the new gaming area will open once the changes have been made.
For a short period from Monday 6 to Friday 13 November there will be limited seating in the Bistro as the walls separating the former gaming lounge, sports/darts lounge and Bistro podium are removed to open up the dining area. This is a temporary measure to open up the space and allow more people access to the view and dining facilities whilst we await the DA approval and commencement of stage 2 of the project.
The work on the new function spaces is also progressing well and on track to be finished in mid-November with booked functions commencing immediately. We thank you all for your patience as we work to improve the club facilities for members. We’re excited about the continued improvements being made and look forward to welcoming members and guests to enjoy time with us.
