GRSC’s stunning transformation moves into final phase

Georges River 16Ft Sailing Club has been closed since Monday 12 May and is heading into the final stage of renovation works. Our expected reopening in October will deliver a vibrant new look for our iconic waterfront venue, breathing new life into Georges River 16Ft Sailing Club. We’re building something truly beautiful — a vibrant new heart for the bay, ready to shine brighter than ever!

We will be re-opening with a new bar, brasserie, sports bar, administration areas, and gaming lounges, as well as the new lift and staircase. Literally no corner of Level 2 is being left behind – it’s a full transformation.

During this time, we encourage our members to visit Club Central Hurstville or Club Central Menai, where your membership benefits will continue as usual. If you’re not yet a member, we encourage you to join now. At just $2.20 for a five-year membership, with access to three amazing destinations, the value is unquestionable and if you subscribe to our email updates you will stay up to date with the latest on our exciting GRSC renovation as we keep you up to date with the latest progress.

Our dedicated GRSC team will retain their usual working hours and be temporarily reassigned to other venues during the closure. Plus, we’re launching a comprehensive training and upskilling program throughout June to prepare the team for our relaunch, which will keep them all busy and then we will be busying ourselves with prepping for the relaunch.

As a reminder of what’s to come, the new-look GRSC will be a modern Mediterranean oasis complete with:

-A light, bright bar featuring a signature cocktail list, plus all your favourite beverages
-A new brasserie with waterfront views, louvered windows and a mouthwatering menu
-A dedicated sports bar with big screen for the ultimate game day experience
-Refreshed and elegant indoor and outdoor gaming areas
